Tunstall Community Pool Website

On Thursday the 31st March Tunstall Pool closed as part of the Budget Cuts by Stoke on Trent City Council.
The Pool originally opened in 1890 and was the oldest Victorian Baths in the country still operating as a pool.

This was a controversial closure as the pool was well loved and well used by local people and those from across the City.

A dedicated group of people are in discussions with the City Council as to the future. We are actively looking at ways forward, including the running the Pool by a Community Trust.

A final business plan is being worked on at this stage, following the submission of a draft one and discussions with the Council.
Once the business plan is submitted the group will await the decision of the City Council.

Fundraising is essential at this stage and if any one has any ideas or contacts in the business community please do get in touch.

Our plan is to run the Pool for and by local people and help build community links and enable the Pool to once again open to serve the people of Tunstall and beyond.
